New Stage V engine for 47 year old inland pusher tug GYAS

The engine installation of the 47-year old inland pusher tug ‘GYAS’ has been completely renewed. The old two-stroke diesel engine has been replaced by a Volvo D13-400 main engine. By investing in this new Stage V engine, the GYAS is ready for many more years of loyal service.

100 years Wagenborg and Pot Shipping

Today we celebrate the 100 year partnership between Wagenborg and Pot Shipping. In 5 February 1924 the first sea charter of Wagenborg was concluded. This voyages enclosed a load of roof tiles and was performed with Daniël Pot’s vessel ‘Weldaad’.

Successful first voyages EasyMax vessel ‘Amalia’

After delivery in January the m.v. Amalia - the latest sustainable MPP vessel in the Wagenborg fleet – left her home port Delfzijl for her first voyages. Under command of captain Joenamar S. Bacuetes the first voyages have been completed successfully.

Ampelmann gangway installation on W2W vessel Kingsborg

Wagenborg, a leading maritime service provider, has recently announced a significant upgrade to its walk-to-work (W2W) vessel, Kingsborg. The vessel returned to the Niestern Sander shipyard for the installation of an A-type Ampelmann gangway, further enhancing its capabilities in the offshore energy sector, particularly in the Southern North Sea.

Queen Máxima christens Easymax vessels ‘Maxima’ and ‘Alexia’

Her Majesty Queen Máxima performed the christening ceremony for Royal Wagenborg's Easymax vessels ‘Máxima’ and ‘Alexia’ during Delfsail in presence of 2,000 employees and guests. May God bless the motor vessels ‘Máxima’ and ‘Alexia’ and all who sail on them!

Mobilization pontoon marks start of Wagenborg's first decommissioning project

Today marks a significant milestone in the decommissioning of the G14B offshore platform located in the North Sea, as Wagenborg successfully started to mobilize the pontoon 'Wagenborg Barge 11' in her homeport Delfzijl for this task. This event is the first major step in fulfilling the recent decommissioning contract awarded by ENI to Wagenborg, highlighting the company's expertise and commitment to sustainable practices in the energy sector.

Crane installation on Kingsborg for decommissioning project

Recently, an active heave compensated subsea offshore crane was installed successfully on the offshore vessel KINGSBORG. The installation was performed at the Royal Niestern Sander shipyard in the port of Delfzijl. Starting mid-October, the KINGSBORG will embark on a decommissioning project on the North Sea.

INEOS and Royal Wagenborg sign multi-year contract for CO2 carrier

In the presence of HM King Willem Alexander of the Netherlands and HM King Frederik of Denmark INEOS and Royal Wagenborg have signed a landmark agreement on the delivery of a new build CO₂ carrier. This vessel, based on Wagenborg’s award-winning EasyMax design, will be built by shipyard Royal Niestern Sander and marks a significant step towards advancing carbon capture and storage (CCS) within the European Union.

Fleet renewal continues with announcement of 6th EasyMax

Wagenborg Shipping and shipyard Royal Niestern Sander have reached agreement to start the construction of another 14,000 DWT EasyMax vessel. This sixth vessel in the EasyMax series is expected to be delivered in the summer of 2026.
