Aftermovie launch EasyMax 4 'Alexia'
The Easymax 4 vessel 'Alexia' was launched successfully at shipyard Royal Niestern Sander. This new building is the successor of the award-winning 'Egbert Wagenborg' and her sisters 'Máxima' and 'Amalia'. The EasyMax vessel type is the latest series in our fleet according to our energy efficiency targets.
EasyMax 4 ‘Alexia’ launched successfully at shipyard Niestern Sander
Today, the m.v. Alexia was launched successfully at shipyard Royal Niestern Sander. This new building is the successor of the award-winning Egbert Wagenborg and her sisters Máxima and Amalia. The m.v. Alexia type is the fourth vessel in the EasyMax series in our fleet according to our new energy efficiency targets.
Progress update on Wagenborg's first decommissioning project
Following the successful mobilisation of our WB11 barge, Wagenborg's first decommissioning project has reached its next milestone. In the early hours of Sunday, the 18th of August, the WB11 barge received the topside of the G14-B platform during a complex heavy lift operation. The topside, weighing approximately 1,000 tonnes, was safely secured on the barge, showcasing the engineering expertise and seamless teamwork that are the hallmarks of our operations.
In-house engineered solution for shipping subsea cables proves value again
Wagenborg has successfully transported 360 km of array cables from the cable manufacturer in Greece to the port of Blyth in the UK. The subsea cables are destined for an offshore wind farm on the UK side of the Southern North Sea.
Mobilization pontoon marks start of Wagenborg's first decommissioning project
Today marks a significant milestone in the decommissioning of the G14B offshore platform located in the North Sea, as Wagenborg successfully started to mobilize the pontoon 'Wagenborg Barge 11' in her homeport Delfzijl for this task. This event is the first major step in fulfilling the recent decommissioning contract awarded by ENI to Wagenborg, highlighting the company's expertise and commitment to sustainable practices in the energy sector.
