11 December 2019 Wagenborg joins panel at Waterborne transport conference in Brussels about zero emission shipping

On November 29th Wagenborg was invited to the Waterborne transport conference in Brussels to join a panel about zero emission shipping. Theo Klimp, fleet director at Wagenborg Shipping and KVNR board member, has reflected on three questions; what do we want to achieve, what did we contribute already and what will we contribute, what other interventions are needed and by whom.

06 December 2019 Majority of Wagenborg fleet switched to low sulphur fuel

The vast majority of the Wagenborg has been switched to Very Low Sulphur Fuel Oil (VLSFO) as a response on the upcoming sulphur cap starting on January 1st 2020. As off 1st November – two months before the cap comes into force - Wagenborg started to order the new low sulphur compliant fuel.

18 October 2019 Ballast water systems for eight 6.000 DWT vessels

Since the Ballast Water Management Convention went into force in September last year, various vessels in the Wagenborg fleet have been equipped with a ballast water management system. With a recent order, eight vessels will be added to this list: Maasborg, Dagna, Westborg, Sydborg, Marietje Nora, Marietje Marsilla, Terschelling and Vlieland.

11 October 2019 Royal Association of Netherlands Shipowners visits Wagenborg during Sustainable tour

During Sustainability Day the Royal Association of Netherlands Shipowners initiated a Sustainable tour. During this tour several supplier presented their sustainable product or solution to the maritime industry while visiting shipping companies. In the North of the Netherlands Wagenborg was pleased to host the Sustainable tour.
