Wagenborg Shipping Sweden AB was founded in Malmö 2001 and is a subsidiary company to Wagenborg Shipping B.V and represents Wagenborg in Scandinavia. Wagenborg Shipping Sweden AB works with the industry, directly or via brokers and forwarders, for all kind of shipments to and from the Baltic Sea. With the entire Wagenborg fleet and many years of experience and expertise, Wagenborg Shipping Sweden AB plays an important role within international shipping.

Founding father Egbert Wagenborg settled ashore and started a small, but successful concern in the area of shipping, towage and passenger services.
With a large fleet of coasters and difficulty to find inspiration for new ship names, Wagenborg decides to name the ships after rivers with the extension "borg" added on.
A change of management takes place as the fourth generation Wagenborg are appointed directors of Wagenborg.
With the establishment of an office in Malmö and Montréal, Wagenborg is globally expanding.
The walk to work vessel ‘Kroonborg’ was awarded Ship of the Year.
